Words from the Coach
The Loveland HS Baseball program participates in the Legion NCBL (Northern Colorado Baseball League) which includes over 20 teams from the Denver to North Fort Collins area.
Having a summer legion team is vital to the success of the players development and the programs.
We strongly encourage those interested in playing baseball for LHS in 2013 and in the future to tryout and play for our Legion summer team.
Teams:
Players at the incoming level could potentially play at the B level at any given time during the summer based on coaching evaluations. Ideally in the summer we would like to fill a 15 player competitive roster, to aid players going on vacation or missing games.
· Legion A: 15 players (Typcially Upper classman)
· Legion B: 15 players (Typically a mix of all grades)
· Legion C: 15 players (Mostly Incoming Freshman)
Cost:
· 400.00 dollars per player
· 500.00 dollars for sibling combinations
· All payments are due May 25th, if your player does not make a legion team you will be refunded the 400.00 dollar amount if paid in advance. Please mark your calendars of this payment. If you are in need of a payment plan please contact Coach Marshall.
· Tryouts will take place May 21st through the 25th located at LHS Owens Field from 4:00 to 6:00 every day.
· Players trying out please dress accordingly, players will be asked to go home if they are not in baseball attire. (Hat, Shirt, baseball pants, belt, socks, cleats, glove, helmet)
· There are no summer legion practices after the 25th of May. Additional practice times are on the coach for that particular level.
Commitment:
· Players must make the commitment to play for every scheduled contest in the summer; not communicating an absence from a contest will result in a one game suspension. We understand that the summer is vacation time; however, you must communicate to coaches when your player will be gone. If this is an ongoing issue the player will be removed from the team w/no refund.
Communication:
· Please sign in to the LHS Program Wide contact list by going to Player Sign up tab located in the side bar. This is primarily for incoming 8th graders or if a current player has changed their contact information.
· Coaches will be sending out emails to players on selected teams to notify game time reminders, leave times, practice times if needed, etc.
· Coaches contacts will be released prior to the start of the summer season.
Gear:
· Jerseys will be provided.
· Must have all white baseball pants and a "Black helmet."
· Black socks, belt, and undershirt
· Hats will be sold for 15.00 for incoming freshman.
· Upper classman can still wear old all red hats from spring season
